This wasn’t a commercially released ad. I think it was used by Swanson Russell to show Woolrich new ideas for the upcoming catalog. I remember going outside to shoot these pictures in the middle of winter. It wasn’t too cold, but it was really bright. I could hardly keep my eyes open. I just kept thinking about all those supermodels shooting in horrible conditions and thinking “the camera doesn’t care how you feel, it only cares what you show.” So I tried as hard as I could to pretend it was just a normal day. Even though it was painful, I still had to keep my eyes open.
